Net Sales of Upland Cotton: A Global Reach
Total net sales of Upland cotton for the 2024/2025 season hit 93,000 RB (running bales), with Pakistan leading the pack, securing 24,900 RB (after accounting for a decrease of 500 RB). Other top buyers included:
- India: 18,300 RB
- Bangladesh: 16,800 RB (including a reduction of 1,800 RB)
- Mexico: 12,500 RB
- Vietnam: 6,800 RB (300 RB were switched from Thailand)
On the flip side, Costa Rica and El Salvador showed reductions in their orders by 6,600 RB and 200 RB, respectively.
Future Sales: Early Interest for 2025/2026
Looking ahead, net sales of 4,900 RB have already been secured for the 2025/2026 season, with key commitments from:
- Mexico: 3,300 RB
- El Salvador: 1,200 RB
- Japan: 400 RB
